A layer of grime coats the fabric. Perhaps it was attached to the deteriorated bag which has been placed under the deceased's hands.

Plastic items were common in this era, and form the majority of archaeological finds. Plastic may have been a way of living "through" objects which cannot decay, therefore extending personhood through time.

"Bag charms" were particularly common in a world where material goods were valued above all else. The charm could protect the contents of the bag, which stored more valuable objects.
