Industrial Age

This charm was created before contact with non-terrestrial life forms, as can be seen by its human-centric design. "Aliens" (as they were known) were a great source of fascination to Industrial Age humans. Most extant literature from this period regarding "aliens" imagines violent or sexual encounters with the non-terrestrials.

During the Climate Riots of the late Industrial Age, an envoy of pseudo-kings (known as billionaires) attempted to colonise Mars. There is no record of their return: all communications were lost shortly after departure.
